Is that a Sergeant I see?

Is that Ben dressing as a Sergeant for Halloween? Why No it is not. Ben officially and gracefully accepted the rank of Sergeant this morning in his promotion ceremony.

Isn't he so handsome?

Ben had the opportunity to chose whom he would like to pin his new rank on him during the ceremony. I was honored and touched when he came home to tell me he wanted the person who helped him the most do it, Me. I was expecting to hear the name of one of his superiors but when he said my name I did as most any wife would have, my eyes filled with tears as I proudly and humbly said yes.

Ben has worked so hard for this. The promotion board comes easy to some but not Ben. He was dedicated, determined and hardworking (not mention scared to death). There are many who played a key role in helping him through this. Especially, Sergeant Barrett and Levine. A special thanks to them for the encouragement and time that went into this wonderful success.

Ben, as always you make me proud to stand next to you and be your wife. This has been a long time coming and there is no one happier for you than me. Thank you for the honor of being able to participate today and most importantly thank you for the honor of being your wife.
